In the 1/8 finals, the blue-yellows will play either France or Portugal
Men’s national volleyball team of Ukraine made its way into Euro 2023 playoffs. In the final match of the group stage, the team of Ugis Krastiņš defeated Spain.
At the beginning of the first set, the blue-yellows were losing 3:6, but quickly returned to the game and got the victory 25:21. The second and third installments also belonged to the Ukrainian volleyball players – 25:21 and 25:19.
Ukraine won the second victory in group B and with 6 points moved up to fourth place in the standings, which gives the right to play in the playoffs.
Krastiņš’s team can take third place in the group if Bulgaria loses to Slovenia with a score of 0:3 or 1:3. Any other result will leave the Ukrainians in fourth position.
If Ukraine remains in the fourth position, it will play with France in the 1/8 finals of Euro 2023. If it rises to third place, it will meet with Portugal.
