Yuriy Moroz’s men were the first to concede, but managed to bounce back in the first half. Distinguished halfback Vladislav Kalin. And immediately after the break, Matvey Ponomarenko brought the blue-and-yellows ahead.
The winning score remained almost until the very end of the match, but the Ukrainians failed to keep it. A few minutes before the end of regular time, the Americans scored two goals within two minutes and pulled out the victory.
At the tournament in the Czech Republic, the Ukrainian team will play two more matches. On September 8, Moroz’s wards will play with Turkey, and on September 10 – with Slovakia.
