Levchenko and Gerashchenko entered the top 7 finals in high jump
Ukrainian athlete Yaroslav Maguchikh became the winner Diamond League Superfinal in the American Eugene in the high jump.
Seven athletes took part in the finals of the competition, among whom, in addition to Maguchi, there were two more Ukrainians – Irina Gerashchenko and Yulia Levchenko.
Unfortunately, Irina and Yulia withdrew from the tournament distance at the first two bars – 1.87 m and 1.91. The fight for gold took place between Yaroslava and Australian Nikola Olislagers.
The rivals reached a height of 2.03 meters. Olislagers took it on the third try (personal best). And Maguchi only had two attempts to clear the bar, and this meant her final triumph, and at the same time a new world record for the season.
Earlier in the season, Maguchikh became the winner of three stages of the Diamond League – in Moroccan Rabat, Chinese Xiamen and Belgian Brussels.
