In the match of the first round of the group stage of the Champions League Benfica lost at their stadium Salzburg with the score 0:2.

Ukrainian goalkeeper Anatoly Trubin entered the main lineup of the Portuguese team, who already at the beginning of the game “brought” a penalty into his own goal and earned a yellow card. But Karim Konate missed the penalty kick and shot higher. A few minutes later, the hosts were left in the minority after Antonio Silva was sent off, and this time Roko Simic scored the penalty.

After the break, the visitors took advantage of their numerical advantage and scored again – Oskar Glukh scored.

In another Group D match, Real Sociedad drew with Inter at home with a score of 1:1.

In the next round of the Champions League, Benfica will play away against Inter, and Salzburg will play at home against Real Sociedad.
