Ukrainians have no points after two rounds
Ukrainian women’s team lost on the road Poland in the second round of Group 3 Division B League of Nations – 1:2.
The Polish team opened the scoring midway through the first half and then increased their lead after the break. Eva Payor scored a brace.
The Ukrainians managed to reduce the gap thanks to a goal from Lyubov Shmatko. Vladimir Pyatenko’s team failed to win back.
The Ukrainian team suffered a second defeat in the Nations League. Previously, the Ukrainians lost to Serbia (1:2). In the next round, Pyatenko’s team will play against Greece on October 27.
The four group winners from Division B will advance to the elite division. At the same time, the participants in the play-offs for promotion/relegation before qualifying for Euro 2025 will be determined.
