Karen will fight with Italian Rossetti on October 28
Ukrainian welterweight boxer Karen Chukhadzhyan (22-2, 12 KOs) shared his expectations for his next fight against the EBU European champion Pietro Rossetti (18-1, 8 KOs).
“I am expecting a cool, spectacular confrontation. To be honest, I already miss the fights. The title will be at stake in the fight, and this is always a double motivation. My opponent is shorter than me, works as number one, and constantly puts pressure on me. He has a good record, experience in title fights, and is also highly ranked,” Chukhadzhyan said.
“My main motivation remains the same throughout my career: I want to become a champion. My first attempt was a failure, but we have worked on our mistakes and will come back stronger.”
The fight between Chukhadzhyan and Rossetti will take place on October 28 in Munich. The boxers will fight for the IBF Inter-Continental welterweight belt.
In his last fight, Karen defeated Venezuelan Michael Marcano in April. Chukhadzhyan scored a knockout over his opponent in the second round.
Rossetti, 25, defeated Frenchman Janis Mea by unanimous decision in his last fight. The fight took place in Ostia, Italy, on July 1.
