Players received punishments for statements during the 6th round match PSG – Marseille
Disciplinary Committee LFPthe governing body of professional club football in France, has decided to suspend four players for one match Paris Saint-Germain: Ousmane Dembele, Ashraf Hakimi, Randala Kolo-Muani And Levena Kurzawa.
The decision was made following explanations from the players in question, who were called to a committee meeting based on reports from delegates at the Ligue 1 matchday 6 match between PSG and Marseille, where some players were reported to have made inappropriate remarks and comments.
A one-match ban for four players from the Parisian club comes into force on Tuesday, October 10. Thus, all of them will be available for the Parisians’ away match with Rennes (Saturday 8 October). The sanctions will come into force after the international break – on December 21, PSG will host Strasbourg in the 9th round match.
Let us remind you that the match between PSG and Marseille took place on September 24 and ended with a crushing victory for the current champion of France with a score of 4:0. Hakimi and Kolo-Muani scored in the first half.
In the previous round, the Parisians failed to beat outsider Clermont (0:0). With 12 points, Luis Enrique’s team is in 5th place, two points behind leaders Monaco and Brest. In addition, this week the French champion lost to Newcastle (1:4) in the Champions League.
