The Congolese criticized the British heavyweight for his actions in the fight against Alexander Usik
Congolese heavyweight boxer Martin Bakole criticized the British boxer Daniel Dubois. Bakole believes that the Briton did not show character in the fight for the championship title with the holder of the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight titles Alexander Usik.
“I’m always open to everyone and always want to give everyone a chance, but people see that they’re slackers. I can’t believe Dubois got stopped after the jab.”
Usyk defeated Dubois by knockout in August in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked down his opponent in the eighth round, and then scored a knockout in the ninth.
Bakole will fight his next fight with 42-year-old Carlos Takam. The fight will take place on the undercard of the Tyson Fury-Francis Ngannou fight in Saudi Arabia on October 28.
In April, Bakole knocked out Ukrainian Igor Shevadzutsky in Rzeszow, Poland. In the third round, the referee was forced to stop the fight due to Martin’s obvious advantage.
