During the entire match, the two teams made only one attempt (South Africa). All the points for the English team were scored by Owen Farrell (4 free throws and 1 drop goal).
South Africa will play in the World Cup final for the fourth time in history. All three previous attempts were successful for the Springboks – 1995, 2007 and 2019.
The South African national team will defend the championship title in a match with New Zealand, which defeated Argentina in the semi-finals (44:6). The decisive match of the championship, which takes place in France, is scheduled for October 28.
