The State Duma deputy proposed to dismiss the heads of the Federal State Registration Service for not allowing Kulyak to the Russian tournament

Member of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Roman Tereshkov proposed to dismiss the leaders of the Russian Artistic Gymnastics Federation (FSGR) due to the lack of gymnasts Ivan Kulyak in national competitions.

The Gymnastics Ethics Foundation (GEF) Disciplinary Commission in May suspended Kulyak for a period of one year for the fact that in March during the World Cup in Doha he participated in the award ceremony in parallel bars competitions with the letter Z on his uniform. On June 7, Kulyak appealed this decision. On July 3, the FSGR announced that Kulyak would not participate in national tournaments organized by the FSGR until the decision of the WEF Appeals Tribunal on the athlete’s request.

Thus, Kulyak will not participate in the Russian Cup, which will be held in Kaluga from July 4 to 10.

– Now, it’s completely wrong to get attached to the Olympics. We are currently in July 2022. Now sports federations are important to us, and we are still a long way from the Olympic Games. Gymnast Ivan Kulyak came to the award ceremony with the letter Z, and he was disqualified. Have you heard of this? And then he was not allowed to participate in Russian competitions. For preventing an athlete from participating in Russian competitions … We have to remove the heads of the federations for this, ”Teryushkov said.

The head of the FSGR, Vasily Titov, has been in office since 2014.

Earlier, Teryushkov said he was sending a deputy request to the prosecutor’s office to verify the legality of Kulyak’s dismissal and the violation of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
