Vorskla is in the top 5 of the list, Donetsk Shakhtar is in the top 9
Kyiv Dynamo by a significant margin, it topped the list of clubs from 60 world leagues in terms of the average playing time received on the field by club players.
The concept of “own student” includes a player who spent at least three years in the club structure before reaching the age of 21.
It is precisely these performers in the Kiev team who spend 82.9% of the playing time on the field this season. This is immediately 11.4 percent more than the second place on the list – FC Minsk from the republic of Belarus, which is still admitted to international football competitions.
In third place is a rather expected name – Athletic Bilbao (68.9%). The fourth position is occupied by the Colombian Envigado, who in the near future may “marry” with Ukrainian football through the transfer of defender Yeferson Rodallega to the Carpathians. And the top 5 is closed by another representative of the UPL – Poltava Vorskla (61.1%).
The current champion of Ukraine Shakhtar is not far behind with an indicator of 55.8 percent – ninth place in the ranking. In total, at least half of the playing time is received by their own students in 14 clubs from the shortlisted leagues.
If we talk exclusively about the top 5 championships, then at the top of the ranking after Athletic are French Lyon, Spanish Real Sociedad and Real Madrid, as well as German Freiburg.
Dynamo is in eighth place in the Ukrainian Premier League after 14 rounds, having played only 11 matches. In the next match, Alexander Shovkovsky’s team will host Rukh on November 26.
