To do this, both must defeat their closest rivals on December 23
Former world heavyweight champions British Anthony Joshua and American Deontay Wilder agreed to fight on March 9 in Saudi Arabia.
For the event to take place, both boxers must defeat their closest opponents. Joshua will face Swede Otto Wallin, and Wilder will face Joseph Parker. Both fights will take place on the same boxing evening on December 23 in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
Wilder and Joshua have been in talks for a long time about a fight in December. The British promoter Eddie Hearn announced problems with the place and date of the fight, after which he suggested that the event could be held no earlier than March-April 2024.
Joshua knocked out Robert Helenius in his last fight, which took place on August 12 in London. Deontay’s last opponent was also Helenius – the American won by knockout in the first round.
