Rebrov holds a similar position
Italian specialist Mauro Tassottiformer assistant Andrey Shevchenko on the coaching staff Ukrainian national teamreceived a new position in Ukrainian Football Association.
The 64-year-old Italian, along with the current national team coach Sergei Rebrovappointed deputy head national teams committee. This structural unit is headed by the UAF President himself.
The committee also included: Nikolai Pavlov, Alexey Targonsky, Vladimir Kovyanov and Dmitry Pelin.
Let us remind you that Andrei Shevchenko was elected as the new president of the UAF on January 25. On February 20, various committees of the organization received their leaders – in particular, Ekaterina Monzul became the head of the committee of arbitrators.
Tassotti is the legendary defender of Milan (1980 – 1997). After the player’s career ended, he remained in the club’s system, which he left in 2016, joining Shevchenko’s coaching staff in the Ukrainian national team. Mauro was then Andrei’s assistant in Genoa (November 2021 – January 2022).
On March 21, the Ukrainian national team will play away against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semi-finals of the Euro 2024 qualifying playoffs.
