In April, Kosenko’s team will play with Lithuania, Brazil and France
Head coach Ukrainian men’s futsal team Alexander Kosenko announced the team composition for the international tournament in Lithuania. The blue-yellow squad included 3 goalkeepers and 13 field players.
- Composition of the Ukrainian national team:
Goalkeepers: Nikolai Guivan (Aurora), Yuri Savenko (Hurricane), Alexander Sukhov (HIT);
Field players: Igor Korsun, Nazar Shved, Petr Shoturma, Artem Farenyuk (all – Hurricane), Evgeniy Zhuk, Andrey Melnik, Daniil Abakshin, Igor Chernyavsky, Alexander Pedyash (all – HIT), Mikhail Zvarych (Energy), Rostislav Semenchenko (Aurora), Yaroslav Lebid (Eurobus, Poland), Nikolay Mykytyuk (Cordoba, Spain).
At the tournament in Lithuania, the Ukrainian team will play against the local national team (April 13), Brazil (April 15) and France (April 16).
Competitions in Lithuania are one of the stages in the preparation of the Ukrainian national team for the 2024 World Cup, which will be held in Uzbekistan from September 14 to October 6. Kosenko’s team qualified for the tournament by beating Poland (5:3) in the decisive match of the elite round of qualification. The draw for the 2024 World Cup will take place in Tashkent this summer.
