Dutch cyclist Mathieu van der Poelrepresenting the team “Alpecin Deceuninck”became the winner of the Belgian one-day event Tour of Flanders.
Sharing places on the podium with him were Italian Luca Mozzatto and Australian Michael Matthews, whom Mathieu was more than a minute ahead of.
Van der Poel managed to win the second Monument of the season for a record third time and joins the list of six athletes who have also managed to do it three times. Previously, the Dutchman won the Tour of Flanders in 2020 and 2022.
