Brewers are fighting to maintain their registration in the UPL
Head coach Obolon Valery Ivashchenko commented on the defeat from Veres (0:3) in the 23rd round of the UPL.
“It’s always unpleasant to miss an early goal. Of course, he influenced the course of the game. Today we created chances and tried to play aggressively. But the field was somewhat slippery, the players were sliding. In the penalty episode, our player also slipped. But this is football. An early goal is not the end. You can always win back.”
“But we missed the second time. This goal was not counted, but psychologically it crippled the team somewhat. And they missed it again. “Morally, it was very difficult to continue playing.”
“During the break we tried to make adjustments to the game. It was important to score quickly. We had our moments. But again the implementation let us down. We knew that today would not be easy, we prepared ourselves. But today was not our day. We conceded goals after our own childhood mistakes.”
“Of course, we want to move higher in the standings. But we start from the results,” the coach concluded.
Obolon with 18 points in its assets takes 14th place in the UPL standings. Veres has one more point, having beaten the Brewers today.
In the next round of the Ukrainian Championship, Obolon will host Minai on April 13.
