Frattesi brought three points to Inzaghi’s team in stoppage time
Inter beat in stoppage time Udinese in the away match of the 31st round of the Italian Serie A – 2:1.
The Black and Blues dominated the first half, but curiously conceded before the break. Lazar Samardzic shot low from the corner of the penalty area, and the ball ricocheted off Carlos Augusto and slowly rolled into the far corner past Jan Sommer.
The favorite bounced back soon after play restarted. Friulian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was late to the ball on the way out and knocked down Marcus Thuram. The sentence was carried out by Hakan Calhanoglu.
Simone Inzaghi’s team had enough time left, and they managed to convert their gigantic territorial advantage into the winning goal: Lautaro Martinez hit the post from outside the penalty area, and Davide Frattesi unhindered the finishing touch.
Inter continues to confidently lead the championship – Milan is 14 points behind. The team from Udine remained in 15th place, dangerously close to the relegation zone.
In the next round, the Nerazzurri will host Cagliari, and Udinese will fight at home with another giant – Roma.
