Athletistic/ Others. All-Russian Swimming Federation (VFTU) chief Vladimir Salnikov noted that six-time world champion Yulia Efimova will not compete until the end of the season.

According to Salnikov, the swimmer herself told him about it.

“Yulia Efimova has announced that she will miss everything and everyone until the end of the season,” Salnikov was quoted as saying by TASS.

Earlier, Efimova said she planned to take a break until the end of the season. The athlete said that in the conditions of the suspension of international competitions, she was not interested in participating in Russian tournaments.

30-year-old Yulia Efimova holds the record for the number of medals at the world championships among all national swimmers – 17.
