Everton rookie Vinagre on competition with Mikolenko: It’s good for me and for him

The Portuguese – about his prospects in the new club

Newbie Everton Ruben Vinagre talked about the competition Vitaly Mikolenko. The Portuguese and the Ukrainian play in the same position – left back.

“I think it’s good for me and for him. We will develop and work every day to earn a place at the base. Mikolenko is a good football player. When you work with good players, it’s good for you,” Vinagre said.

“I’m good with the ball, I like it when I have the ball. I love to attack and lead the team forward. But I also enjoy working in the selection.”

Everton have loaned the 23-year-old Vinagre from Sporting. The agreement is valid until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Vinagre could make his debut for Everton in a charity match against Dynamo. The fight will take place on July 29 at Goodison Park.

Recall that in the last test match for Everton, Vitaliy Mykolenko scored a goal and an assist.

The new season of the English Premier League starts on August 5. In the first round on August 6, Everton will host Chelsea.
