Athletistic/Judo. Russian judokas won five medals at the European Championships, which took place in Zagreb (Croatia) from April 25 to 28.

On the first day of the competition, Kristina Dudina won gold in the weight category up to 48 kg.

On April 26, Danil Lavrentyev won a silver medal in the weight category up to 73 kg. He lost to Azerbaijan’s Hidayat Heydarov, three-time European champion and three-time world championship medalist.

On April 27, on the final day, men competed in the 90, 100 and over 100 kg categories, as well as women in the 78 and over 78 kg categories. In the weight category up to 100 kg, Matvey Kanikovsky won gold, and in the category over 100 kg, Inal Tasoev took first place and Tamerlan Bashaev took third place.
