Vernidub’s team scored all three goals before the break
Krivbass haven’t experienced the slightest problem with Metalhead 1925 in the home match of the 26th round Ukrainian Premier League – 3:0.
Already in the opening, Yuri Vernidub’s team took the lead – Maxim Zaderaka shot from the penalty area, and an easy rebound left Oleg Mozil out of action.
At the end of the half, the hosts fired a double: Artur Mykytyshyn finished off Denis Kuzik’s cross at point-blank range, and Maxim Lunev, again from outside the goalkeeper’s area, finished off Ivan Dibango’s cross.
The second half turned into a formality. The guests could get even with one goal (Vladlen Yurchenko missed a good chance), but the Krivoy Rog team also had chances to increase the score.
Krivbass is already 9 points ahead of Dnepr-1 and still has a chance for second place. The Kharkov team, who have not won 14 matches in a row, are in big trouble – 19 points and last place. True, the zone of transition matches is only one point away.
In the next round, Krivbass will play Dnepr-1 away, and Metalist 1925 will duel with Vorskla, the previous club of its coach Viktor Skripnik.
