Jordan Pickford still has a chance to equal the Spaniard in the number of clean sheets, but no one can dislodge the Arsenal goalkeeper from the first line
Goalkeeper Arsenal’s David Raya won ahead of schedule “Golden Glove” English Premier League 2023/24. Let us remind you that the trophy is awarded to the goalkeeper who has kept the most clean sheets in a season in the league.
Raya has 14 wedge-sheets on his record. The Spaniard won the nomination after the Luton-Everton match (1:1), in which his closest competitor Jordan Pickford (12 matches) missed a goal. Jordan will have two more matches in the championship, he can, theoretically, catch up with David in this category, but he will not get ahead.
Bernd Leno from Fulham and Ederson from Manchester City, who have nine clean sheets each, are fighting for third place. The German will have to play three more matches, the Brazilian – four fights.
Raya, 28, has made 38 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions this season. The Spaniard conceded 30 goals in them, keeping 18 clean sheets.
Arsenal leads the Premier League with 80 points. The Gunners will play Bournemouth on May 4, kick-off at 2:30 p.m.
