Veres achieved a strong-willed victory over Minaj in the UPL underdogs match

The team from Rivne rose to 14th place, Transcarpathians close the standings

Veres beat on home field Minai in the 27th round match Ukrainian Premier League – 3:1.

The Transcarpathian team took the lead in the 5th minute through the efforts of Artur Remenyak. Midway through the first half, Iago Siqueira equalized the score with a well-aimed shot from outside the penalty area.

After the break, Veres took the lead: Vitaly Dakhnovsky beat the goalkeeper and sent the ball into the empty net. In the 86th minute, Dmitry Shastal missed the penalty, but was the first to finish and set the final score.

Veres rose to 14th place (zone of transition matches) in the UPL, one point ahead of Metalist 1925. Minaj is at the bottom of the standings, trailing today’s opponent by four points.

In the next round, Veres will play against Zarya on May 13. Minaj will meet with Vorskla on May 11.
