Fan Vinnytsia Niva Nazariy “Grenka” Grintsevich died at the front, defending Ukraine from the Russian invasion. The warrior turned 21 in March.
“Grenka” was one of the youngest fighters who defended Azovstal in 2022. Nazariy was captured by Russia and was held in the occupied territory of the Donetsk region for more than four months.
On September 21, 2022, Grintsevich was released as part of a large exchange along with 215 other Ukrainian prisoners of war. Together with friends, “Grenka” founded the “Contact 12” unit in the “Azov” special forces brigade, where he was the commander of a platoon of optical observers.
