The previous owners of Suning Group failed to repay a loan of 395 million euros
Owner Inter became an American company Oaktree Capital Management.
The investment fund announced its ownership after previous owners, a Chinese conglomerate Suning Group missed a €395 million loan payment. The Chinese company provided a stake in the Italian club as collateral.
Suning Group has owned Inter since 2016. The club was led by businessman Zhang Jindong and his son, Stephen Zhang.
Inter previously won the Scudetto ahead of schedule. In the final round, the Nerrazzuri will play Verona on May 26.
