Athletistic / Figure skating. Russian figure skater Anastasia Zinina said she was forced to work with a psychologist before her first competition after a serious injury. The 17-year-old Russian missed the start of 2024 due to health issues.
“Physically it was quite difficult for me, everything seemed new to me, I had to prepare for the programs. Now I’m in a time of transition, which has made it even more difficult. Well, the stumbling block was my moral state.
Competitions are stressful for the body, I needed to put myself in a good mood and prepare myself psychologically. Before the competition, I worked with a psychologist who helped me recover and close the gestalt. After the first competition, I exhaled as if a stone had been removed from my soul: I’m back in action, I’m ready to work! I came from Perm, I started jumping a lot more and I was ready to work even harder. At the moment I am preparing for the new season,” Zinina is quoted as saying by TASS.
From March 21 to 23, Perm hosted all-Russian competitions for the Tatiana Tarasova awards. There Anastasia Zinina performed for the first time after her injury.
Zinina is the winner of the stages of the ISU International Junior Grand Prix series. She now represents the military sports club in figure skating and trains under the guidance of Alexei Vasilevsky and Yulia Lavrenchuk. Previously, Anastasia trained at Plushenko’s Angels Academy.
