In the qualifying final, the Ukrainian confidently beat Marina Stakusic from Canada. Julia spent less than an hour and a half on the entire fight.
In the first game, Starodubtseva took four of her opponent’s serves, losing two of her own. In the second set, with the score 2:2, the Ukrainian won four games in a row, ending the match with a winning point at the reception.
Let us remind you that Julia started in Paris with a victory over her compatriot Katarina Zawatskaya. Starodubtseva then beat Xiaodi Yu of China.
Earlier, five Ukrainians recognized their rivals in the main draw of Roland Garros. Another Ukrainian tennis player, Daria Snigur, failed to make it to the qualifying finals.
