Dovbik repeated Shevchenko’s result and did not reach the absolute record of Ukrainian foreign players by four goals

The Ukrainian national team forward finished his debut season in La Liga with 24 goals.

Hat-trick in the match with Granada (7:0) allowed the forward of Girona and the Ukrainian national team Artem Dovbik finish his debut season in La Liga with a 24 goals scored. This is a repetition of the record goals for Ukrainian foreign players in the TOP-5 European Championships.

Andrei Shevchenko scored 24 goals per season in the Italian Championship, playing for Milan. This mark was achieved by the current UAF president three times: in the 1999/200, 2000/2001, 2003/2004 seasons.

The record for the number of goals scored in one season among all Ukrainian football players who played abroad belongs to Roman Debelko. In 2018, playing for Levadia, the forward scored 28 goals.

Girona finished third in La Liga with 81 points. Granada finished the season penultimate, with 21 points, and were relegated to the Segunda Division.
