“I did not play any international matches during this period. It is a technical point which does not change anything. A little over a year ago, I had the following situation: I did not participate in tournaments and I became inactive I have to play a match to get back in the rankings,” quotes Match TV Karyakin.

Previously, Karyakin occupied 12th place on the list. Now his name is not there.

It should be noted that Karjakin was excluded from the ranking for the second time. Previously, it also disappeared from the rankings at the end of February 2023. But later, in May 2023, it reappeared there.

Recall that Karyakin was disqualified for six months for publicly supporting the SVO in the spring of 2022. Due to disqualification, he did not participate in the Candidates Tournament.
