Hearn: If Dubois gets a right hand from Joshua, this fight won’t last

An event between Anthony and Daniel is planned for 2024

Promoter Eddie Hearn believes that the former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and British Daniel Dubois will be able to create an amazing show in a head-to-head fight.

“What Dubois needs to know is that if he gets hit by a right hand from Joshua like he did against Philip, that fight won’t last very long. Everyone knows AJ can hit.”

“Dubois has momentum now and is very confident. Daniel is a dangerous fighter, but in this weight class every fighter is dangerous.”

The head of the promotion company Queensberry Promotions, Frank Warren, reported that the Dubois and Joshua teams are negotiating a fight. The British Derby is scheduled for September 21st. The arena for the event will be Wembley Stadium.

Dubois finished the fight with Filip Hrgovic in the eighth round. The fight took place as part of the “5 on 5” event in Riyadh. The British heavyweight won the IBF interim title. Let us remind you that the Ukrainian Alexander Usik holds a full championship belt in heavyweight.

Joshua defeated former UFC world champion Francis Ngannou in his last fight. After the fight, Eddie Hearn named Anthony the No. 1 heavyweight boxer in the world. Joshua himself spoke about his desire to fight the next fight in June, but he was offered to postpone the fight to September.
