The Ukrainian national team held an open training session in Wiesbaden

Almost all the players of the national team, except Mikolenko, trained in the presence of five thousand fans.

In German Wiesbaden open training took place Ukrainian national football team.

The event at the BRITA-Arena stadium was attended by almost five thousand fans who enthusiastically supported the Ukrainian football players during their exercises with the ball.

Before the start of training, the head coach of the blue-yellows, Sergei Rebrov, took the floor:

“We are already grateful to Germany, which is our important partner. We are grateful for the opportunities we have been given to practice and play and sincerely thank all the fans who came out to support us. Glory to Ukraine!”

The players sang the anthem along with the fans, after which they began a set of exercises. 25 players took part in the training – all except the injured Vitaly Mykolenko. Let us remind you that the defender suffered an injury to his right leg in the first half of a recent sparring against Moldova in Chisinau (4:0), as a result of which he was forced to leave the field.

Subsequently it became known that Mikolenko had a foot injury. As the doctor of the Ukrainian national team Roman Zholobaylyuk said, no bone pathology was found during the examination. According to current information, Vitaly managed to avoid the worst consequences. The medical staff began active rehabilitation of the player so that he could return to action during the group stage of Euro 2024.

After a full training session, the Ukrainian football players spent a lot of time with the fans, signing autographs and taking selfies with them.

Since yesterday, the Ukrainian national team has been based in Wiesbaden, the capital of the federal state of Hesse in western Germany, located next to Mainz and Darmstadt, not far from Frankfurt. This city became the base city for Rebrov’s team during the continental championship.

At the group stage of the 2024 European Championship, the blue-yellows will play against the national teams of Romania (June 17), Slovakia (June 21) and Belgium (June 26). The matches will take place in Munich, Dusseldorf and Stuttgart, respectively.
