Athletistic/Swimming. Six-time world swimming champion, three-time Olympic medalist and seven-time European champion Yulia Efimova received neutral status from the International Swimming Federation (World Aquatics). This became known today, June 14.

However, obtaining neutral status does not guarantee Efimova automatic participation in the Paris Olympic Games. She does not have the necessary results in international competitions to qualify for the Games.

“Yes, today I was assigned neutral status. But the main problem is that I don’t have time to take the international selection. All competitions end on June 23 – either they have already ended or they will take place next week. I planned to participate in a tournament in Italy on behalf of the club, but ultimately I was denied admission,” Efimova said, as quoted by Match TV.

The swimming competitions for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will take place from July 27 to August 4.
