Athletistic/Fencing. Sophie the Great, a two-time Olympic champion, won the final of the saber fencing competition at the BRICS Games.
In the final match she beat her compatriot Olga Nikitina with a score of 15:12. The bronze medals in this competition were won by Yana Yegoryan and Veronika Bulukova, both also representing Russia.
