Midfielder Santi Cazorla extended the contract with Real Oviedo.
The club’s youth product has signed a one-year contract. Cazorla receives the minimum salary in Oviedo, established for Segunda clubs. In the 2023/24 season, the 39-year-old midfielder has 24 matches and four assists.
In addition, the agreement again stipulates additional conditions for Santi’s image rights – 10% of the income from the sale of T-shirts goes to the development of the Real Oviedo youth academy.
Cazorla previously played for Villarreal, Malaga, Arsenal and Qatar’s Al-Sadd. The midfielder has 81 caps for the Spanish national team, in which he scored 15 goals.
Real Oviedo failed to qualify for La Liga, losing to Espanyol in the Segunda playoff final.
