Three-time world champion in Formula 1 Max Verstappen won sprint qualification on Austrian Grand Prix 2024.
The Red Bull driver achieved a time of 1:04.686 s. He lost just 0.093 seconds to Lando Norris in McLaren. The second row of the grid was made up of Oscar Piastri (McLaren) and George Russell (Mercedes).
Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Sergio Perez (Red Bull), Esteban Ocon (Alpin) also made it into the top 10. Pierre Gasly (Alpin) and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari).
The sprint at the Spielberg circuit will take place on June 29 and will begin at 13:00 Kyiv time. Also on Saturday there will be qualifying for the main race (starts at 17:00). The main race, the Austrian Grand Prix, will take place on Sunday, June 30. Starts at 16:00.
