The player’s contract with Shakhtar ends on June 30
Midfielder Miner Alexey Kashchuk gave a comment regarding the further continuation of his career.
“Karabakh’s interest? I saw that our media unanimously picked up this news, but you don’t need to believe everything that is written on the Internet. Of course, I did not sign a contract with Karabakh and I do not intend to do so.”
“Now I’m preparing for the season according to an individual program in Kyiv and at the same time considering offers from clubs. “Nothing has been decided now, but this is a matter for the near future.”
It is reported that over the past six months, clubs from different divisions of the championships of Italy, Germany, Spain, as well as the Mexican Necaxa, have shown interest in Kaschuk.
Kashchuk’s contract with Shakhtar expires tomorrow, June 30. Earlier, the 24-year-old midfielder stated that he did not want to renew it and intended to continue his career in Europe.
It is known that in winter Kashchuk was on the list of interests of Greek PAOK, Croatian Hajduk and Azerbaijani Neftchi. Negotiations with Mallorca also ended in failure.
Last season, Alexey played 12 matches for Shakhtar in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing one assist. The winger was not included in the Miners’ roster in 2024. At the same time, Kashchuk made his debut as part of the Ukrainian youth team in a sparring with Japan U-23 (0:2).
In the opening round of the 2024/25 UPL draw, Shakhtar will play away against Vorskla. The base date of the round is August 3.
