FBU did not receive a sufficient number of coaching accreditations
Head coach of the Ukrainian boxing team Dmitry Sosnovsky will not travel with the national team to Olympic Games 2024. The reason is that the Boxing Federation of Ukraine did not receive a sufficient number of coaching accreditations for the Games in Paris.
It is reported that according to the rules of the International Olympic Committee, the number of accreditations for the coaching staff is 50% of the number of licenses for athletes.
Two coaches were supposed to go to Paris together with three Ukrainian athletes (Alexander Khizhnyak, Dmitry Lovchinsky and Ayder Abduraimov). The FBU managed to agree on four accreditations – for three personal coaches and one doctor. It was not possible to obtain another accreditation for the national federation.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11. The competition will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports.
