Weavers paid 18.5 million euros for the transfer of the Georgian national team player

Georges became one of the six top scorers at the 2024 European Championship. The forward scored three goals in four matches and shared the Golden Boot with Jamal Musiala (Germany), Cody Gakpo (Netherlands), Ivan Schranz (Slovakia), Harry Kane (England) and Dani Olmo (Spain).
In the last draw of the French Ligue 1, Mikautadze played 22 matches for Metz, scoring 14 goals and making 4 assists. Metz itself finished in 16th place, and in the play-offs for the right to remain in the elite French division, the team lost to Saint-Etienne (1:2, 2:2).
Lyon finished sixth in Ligue 1 and will play in the Europa League. The new French championship is scheduled to start on August 18.
