Swimmer Alexander Zhigalov won the 100m breaststroke qualifying event at the Russian Cup final in Yekaterinburg.
Ivan Kozhakin finished in second place, Amir Khalitov rounded off the top three.
Earlier, the RAA RUSADA Anti-Doping Disciplinary Committee disqualified Zhigalov for two years for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s sample, which he collected on May 26, 2022, contained 5-methylhexane-2-amine (1,4-dimethylpentylamine). The swimmer was disqualified by RUSADA for two years (until May 27, 2024).
