Olga Kharlan brings Ukraine its first medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris
Sabre fencer Olga Harlan was recognized as the best athlete Ukraine July 2024, according to the expert commission of the country’s National Olympic Committee.
It was Olga who brought Ukraine its first medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris – Harlan won bronze in sabre fencing.
On Saturday, August 3, Olga will compete for medals in the team sabre competition. Along with Harlan, Ukraine will be represented by Alina Komashchuk, Elena Kravatskaya and Yulia Bakastova.
The best young athlete of Ukraine in July 2024 was Egor Yakushenkowho became the European champion in Greco-Roman wrestling in the 97 kg weight category among boys under 20 years old.
Let us recall that in June 2024, track and field athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh and swimmer Oleksandr Zheltyakov were recognized as the best athletes of Ukraine in similar nominations.
