Athletistic / Olympic Games. Vyacheslav Fetisov, a two-time Olympic hockey champion and now a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, has said that he will not follow the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Only 15 Russian athletes went to France.
“I am not following the 2024 Olympics and I do not advise anyone. I think it is wrong to discuss this topic because we were kicked out of it. I did not watch the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics, I will not watch the 2024 Olympics closing ceremony or any other competition, I do not care what happens in Paris,” Fetisov said according to Sport-Express.
- See it for yourself. Russia has announced a boycott of the Paris Olympics.
The Paris Olympics began on July 26 and will last until August 11. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) violated the Olympic Charter and, for political reasons, admitted to the 2024 Olympic Games only Russian athletes who had accepted the neutral individual status, had no ties to the security forces of their country (army, police, national guard), and were not noted in favor of the implementation of the SVO or the actions of the country’s leadership.
