Silver went to Smith from South Africa, bronze to Schouten from the Netherlands
On Olympic Games 2024 A set of medals was awarded in Paris Women’s 200m Breaststroke.
American becomes Olympic champion Kate Douglas. This is her second medal in Paris. Earlier, as part of the US team, she won silver in the 4x100m freestyle relay.
Silver was won by South African Tatyana Smith, who became the 2024 Games champion in the 100m breaststroke.
The bronze medal went to Tes Schouten of the Netherlands. This is her first Olympic award.
Also today in Paris, 17-year-old Summer Mackintosh from Canada won the 200m butterfly final with a new Olympic record. Hungary’s Hubert Kos became the champion in the 200m backstroke.
The 2024 Olympic Games will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
