Vinicius Junior has rejected a five-year, $1 billion deal from Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli

Madrid winger Real Madrid Vinicius Junior refused transfer to Saudi Arabia Al-Ahliwho offered the Brazilian a five-year contract worth a total of one billion dollars in salary and bonuses.

Al-Ahli planned to make the 24-year-old a key figure in their project, as well as an ambassador for Saudi Arabia, which will host the World Cup in 2034.

Al Ahly is reportedly set to make Real and Vinicius Junior another, better offer in the coming weeks. Real itself is not eager to let go of its leader, whose contract includes a release clause of one billion euros.

Vinicius Junior joined Real Madrid from Flamengo in 2018 for €45 million. Since then, the Brazilian has played 264 matches for the Blancos in all competitions, scoring 83 goals.

The Brazilian winger was named the best player of the 2023/24 Champions League, which was a victory for the Madrid club.

Real Madrid will begin the season on August 14, when they will play Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup, while Al Ahly will play their first match of the new season tomorrow, August 13, when they will play Al Hilal in the Saudi Arabian Super Cup.
