Krivbass won away Veres in the third round match Ukrainian Premier League 2024/25 — 2:0.
Yuriy Vernydub’s team opened the scoring at the beginning of the first half, with Prince Adu scoring. And after a while, the hosts were left in the minority – less than half an hour into the game, Maksym Smiyan received a second yellow card.
After the break, the teams’ lineups were equalized – Kryvyi Rih defender Oleksandr Romanchuk earned a direct expulsion. Timur Stetskov put the finishing touches to the scandalous match. The defender converted a penalty closer to the end of the match.
Kryvbas scored six points and rose to fifth place in the UPL. Veres is 14th with one earned point.
In the next match, Vernydub’s team will meet Betis on August 22 in the Conference League qualification playoffs. On the same day, the Rivne team will play against Metalist 1925 in the Ukrainian Cup.
