Athletistic/Figure skating. Tatiana Tarasova, Honored Figure Skating Coach of the USSR, expressed the opinion that Plushenko’s Angels Academy and representatives of figure skater Arina Parsegova should have avoided disputes and found a compromise solution.

On Thursday, the Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow ruled to recover 1 million 800 thousand rubles from Parsegova. Earlier, Plushenko’s Angels Academy, owned by Evgeni Plushenko, filed a lawsuit for 1.9 million rubles, citing the athlete’s unilateral refusal to fulfill an agreement on sports training and agency services.

“I am neither a judge nor a lawyer and I do not know all the details of the case. But as far as I understand, this is the first time in Russia that a figure skating case has been brought to court. I am against this. The parties should be able to negotiate without a trial, otherwise. I do not understand this,” Tarasova commented.

Parsegova is 12 years old, until the 2020/21 season she trained under the guidance of Eteri Tutberidze, then moved to Plushenko, but recently left his academy. According to a source of RIA Novosti, the skater returned to Tutberidze.
