All three took part in the stage in Lausanne
Three Ukrainian track and field athletes will take part in the upcoming stage Diamond League 2024 V Zurich (Switzerland).
The Paris Olympic champion will compete in the women’s high jump Yaroslav Maguchikh And Irina Gerashchenko. And among the men’s javelin throwing participants – Arthur Felfner.
In 2024, Yaroslava has already won three stages of the Diamond League. In June, the Ukrainian triumphed in Stockholm, in July – in Paris, and in August, Mahuchikh was the best in Lausanne.
In the capital of France, Maguchikh broke the world record for high jump, which had stood since 1987 – the Ukrainian cleared a height of 2.10 m.
Let us recall that Felfner also competed in Lausanne. The Ukrainian threw the javelin 83.38 meters and ultimately took fourth place.
The competition in Zurich will be the last before the final, which will take place on September 13-14 in Brussels. Maguchikh has qualified for the event in Belgium ahead of schedule. Gerashchenko and Felfner are also close to making it to the final competition.
