The 31-year-old Brazilian terminated his contract with Al-Nasr this week
Botafogo announced the transfer of the former Manchester United defender Alexa Telles.
The transfer took place on a free agent basis. The parties signed a contract until the end of 2026.
Telles’ last club was Al-Nassr, with whom he terminated his contract this week. In total, Alex Telles has 44 matches and 3 goals in all competitions for the Saudi club, whose colors he has defended since 2023.
The defender’s career also included appearances for Gremio, Galatasaray, Inter, Porto, Manchester United and Sevilla.
Alex Telles played 12 matches for the Brazilian national team, including two games at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Botafogo leads the Brazilian Serie A with 50 points after 25 games played.
