This is Didukh’s fifth medal at the Paralympic Games.
Ukrainian Victor Didukh won a gold medal in table tennis on Paralympics 2024 in Paris.
In the final of the MS8 class competition, Viktor triumphed over the Chinese athlete Shuai Zhao in a five-set match. In Paris, Didukh won his second medal: earlier, he won bronze in the mixed doubles with Irina Shinkareva (XD17 class).
For Didukh, this is the fifth medal at the Paralympic Games. In Rio 2016, Viktor won team gold, and in Tokyo, he won silver in singles and doubles.
In total, the Ukrainian team has 70 medals from the 2024 Paralympics. 19 sets of awards were gold for the Ukrainian team.
The 2024 Paralympics are taking place in Paris from August 28 to September 8. The Ukrainian team is represented at the Games by 140 athletes. Ukrainians are competing in 17 of the 22 Paralympic sports – a record in the history of our country.
