Athletistic / Paralympic Games. Two-time Olympic biathlon champion Dmitry Vasiliev of Russia spoke about the performance of Russian athletes at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
“The Russian team was not at the Paralympics, because the guys competed there without a flag and anthem and did not participate in team disciplines. They were great in winning a large number of medals, but, unfortunately, they did it for themselves and not for the country,” – VseProSport quotes Vasiliev.
The 2024 Paralympic Games were held in the French capital from August 28 to September 8. Russian athletes who took part in the competition in individual neutral status won 64 medals – 20 gold, 21 silver and 23 bronze. If the Russian team had participated in the PI-2024, it would have taken eighth place in the unofficial team medal standings.
