Head coach Barcelona Hans-Dieter Flick recognized as the best coach of August in La Liga.
Barcelona are the only team in the Spanish championship that have managed to win all four of their opening matches. Under Flick, the Catalans beat Valencia (2:1), Athletic (2:1), Rayo Vallecano (2:1) and Valladolid (7:0) in August.
With 12 points to their credit, Blaugrana have taken the lead in the La Liga standings with a 4-point lead over their closest rivals.
Villarreal coach Marcelino Toral and Alaves head coach Luis Garcia were also in contention for the award.
Hans-Dieter Flick took over at Barcelona in the summer of 2024. The 59-year-old German specialist signed a contract with the Blaugrana until June 30, 2026.
Barcelona will play their next match on September 15 away against Viktor Tsygankov’s Girona.
